Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of WolfAI — the iOS and Android app, the marketing site at wolf-ai.uk, the quiz funnel, and any related service we operate (the "Service"). By installing or using WolfAI, or by purchasing a subscription on any platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
WolfAI is operated by [LEGAL_ENTITY] ("WolfAI", "we", "our", "us"), registered in the United Kingdom.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 if you live in the EEA or UK) to use WolfAI. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or guardian. WolfAI is intended for adult and teenage wellness use; it is not appropriate for clinical eating-disorder treatment.
2. Your account
Most features require an account, which you can create with email, Apple Sign In, or Google Sign In via our auth provider Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for activity on your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy → Delete account. We delete your data per our Privacy Policy.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Some features of WolfAI are free; premium features (custom AI plans, unlimited photo analyses, advanced stats) require a subscription. Pricing, billing currency, and trial terms are shown to you before purchase, on each platform.
3.1 Apple App Store — auto-renewable subscriptions
If you subscribe through the iOS app, the following terms apply, as required by Apple:
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the same price as the current term unless we notify you of a change in advance.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions by going to your Apple ID Account Settings on your device after purchase: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Apple processes the payment and is responsible for billing under the App Store Standard EULA.
3.2 Google Play — auto-renewing subscriptions
If you subscribe through the Android app:
- Payment is charged to your Google Play account at the start of each billing period.
- Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period until you cancel through the Google Play Store.
- You can manage and cancel by opening the Play Store, tapping your profile, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → WolfAI.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
3.3 Web checkout via Stripe
If you purchase a subscription on our website (for example, at the end of the quiz funnel), payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe receives your card details directly; we do not store them. Web subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account page on the web, or by emailing [email protected].
3.4 Free trials
Where we offer a free trial, you will see the trial duration, the price after the trial, and the renewal cadence before you confirm purchase. If you do not cancel before the end of the trial, you will be charged automatically. Apple, Google, or Stripe will send you a reminder before the trial ends per their platform policies.
3.5 Refunds
Subscriptions purchased through Apple App Store and Google Play are subject to those platforms' refund policies — please request refunds directly from Apple or Google respectively. For web subscriptions billed through Stripe, contact [email protected] within 14 days of the renewal charge for a full refund (UK / EU consumer rights), unless you have already used premium features substantially during that period.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app or service.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service.
- Upload content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, or contains malware.
- Impersonate other people, or create accounts on behalf of others without permission.
- Interfere with the Service's operation — denial-of-service, abuse of API rate limits, attempts to bypass security controls.
- Use the Service to provide a competing product or to train competing AI models.
5. AI estimates & not medical advice
WolfAI uses an AI vision model to estimate calories and macronutrients from photos. These estimates can be wrong, especially for mixed dishes, hidden ingredients, or unusual portions. WolfAI is a wellness tool, not a medical device. Information and plans in the app are for general informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical, dietary, or psychological advice. Consult a licensed professional before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have a history of disordered eating.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of meal photos and other content you upload. You grant WolfAI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you (for example, to send a photo to the AI vision model and store the result against your meal log). We do not use your content to train AI models, sell it, or share it for advertising.
7. Our intellectual property
WolfAI, the wolf mascot "Howl", the brand, the app, and the marketing site are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the app and Service for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
8. Termination
You can stop using WolfAI at any time and delete your account from Settings → Privacy → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, infringe rights, or pose a security or fraud risk; where practical we will notify you first.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI estimates will be accurate. Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WolfAI and its directors, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for direct damages will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or £50, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify WolfAI from any third-party claim arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of any right.
12. Governing law & venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers in other jurisdictions retain the protections of their local mandatory law.
13. Apple App Store-specific notice
These Terms are between you and WolfAI, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligations and no support obligations with respect to the iOS app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. For material changes we will notify you in-app or by email at least 14 days before the new version takes effect. Continued use of the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
